Miller College will host the third annual Conifer Open 2013 golf outing on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Marywood Country Club, 21310 North Avenue, in Battle Creek. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., four-person scramble starts at 8:30 a.m.
Breaking news! Effective immediately, BCreative Arts' “Teach the Teachers” program will cover 100% of the tuition to support local teachers who would like to learn more about integrating the arts into their instruction in EDUC 341 at Miller College this summer.
Miller College is proud to offer its popular EDUC 490: Special Topics (Autism) course during its Summer II semester, and is excited to announce that funds are available to support local teachers who are interested in attending this course.
Registration for the Summer I and Summer II semesters has begun at Miller College. Summer I classes begin May 13 and Summer II classes begin July 8, 2013.
Throughout the month of March, Miller College will be offering a free Wednesday movie series featuring films: Half the Sky on March 13; The Invisible War on March 20; and Miss Representation on March 27.
The Miller College marketing department received a Silver Collegiate Advertising Award for its 2012 television commercial directed and produced by SoundStage 1 Productions, located in Climax, Michigan.
The tuition per credit hour for Miller College courses will be increased 4.8% effective with the courses offered in the upcoming Summer I term. The current tuition of $353.00 per credit hour will become $370.00 per credit hour.
Please note the tuition of $370.00 per credit hour is for undergraduate tuition. Tuition cost for any master’s degree programs has not been determined as yet.
The College remains free of any fees such as for matriculation, parking, registration, and transcripts.
As always the College will work with students to see that their financial aid needs are met.
The Miller College Children’s Literature Project has received grant support from the Marshall Community Foundation, the Battle Creek Community Foundation, Allegra of Battle Creek’s FootPrint Fund and The Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation to help with expenses associated with this annual project.

2013 Nursing Student Scholarship
The Michigan League for Nursing, the Michigan Council of Nursing Education Administrators (MCNEA), and the Michigan Association of Colleges of Nursing (MACN) are offering a 2013 Nursing Student Scholarship to a qualified applicant. The amount of the scholarship is $1,000 and to be considered, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1) Currently enrolled in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) nursing education program;
2) Must have successfully completed at least one nursing course with a clinical component. Successful completion is defined as a grade of a “C” or better.
Applications for this scholarship are available in the Miller College Student Services Office and the deadline is no later than March 1, 2013. Recipients will be notified in late March, 2013.
Lyndsay Sharp Bingaman Nursing Scholarship
The family of Lyndsay Sharp Bingaman and the Branch County Community Foundation are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Lyndsay Sharp Bingaman Nursing Scholarship. Qualified applicants include those students who graduated from a St. Joseph County, Michigan high school who can document acceptance or attendance in a nursing program accredited by either the CCNE or NLNAC. The Robert B. Miller College is seeking input from the general public as part of its preparation for a comprehensive evaluation aimed at continuing its accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools.
The Student Services Office at Miller College is looking for a student employee beginning in the Spring 2013 semester. The job would begin on January 14, 2013 and the hours are flexible, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. Interested students must be enrolled in the spring semester and can apply in the Miller College Student Services Office on the 2nd floor of the Mawby Center. January 3rd will be the first day Spring 2013 textbooks will become available. The Bruin Bookstore will be closed on January 2.
The Career Services Center (CSC) provides free career and job search services for all Miller College students and alumni. Currently in development, the center will provide several resources for resume building and interview techniques.
A popular web-based system, eRecruiting, is available now at the Experience eRecruiting Network.
It allows students and alumni to post resumes and search for job postings on two databases. One database is a national database for viewing by any registrant. The other database is for Miller College students and alumni only. Local employers often post jobs on the Miller College site. Miller College's eRecruiting website also includes links to resources for resume assistance, cover letter tips, interviewing techniques, and dressing for success.
