Monitoring the level of usage:
The contract between Kellogg Community College and Miller College’s Technology Services Agreement stipulates the terms/fees for technology usage. Within that agreement the I/S Department monitors the usage and negotiates the amount paid to KCC based on credit hours generated during the recent academic year. The usage report is submitted to Miller College for review. -Each Miller College student, faculty/staff is given a password account to use for Web-Advisor, Blackboard, and e-mail. -User accounts are monitored to ensure that they are legitimate accounts. Accounts are also monitored for storage and network resources used by each account -Blackboard usage by each student can be monitored by each faculty member for courses that students are enrolled in. The Miller College Technology Supervisor (Kottke) can easily access that data as needed for faculty or administration. |
