3. C.2. All instructors are appropriately credentialed, including those in dual credit, contractual, and consortial programs.
The Miller College Board of Trustees and the Miller College staff search for and employ qualified, faculty members who are experts in their field. The credentials for all faculty include at least a master’s degree with a doctorate preferred. In fulfillment of its practitioner approach to education, Miller College seeks out individuals whose experience in their field enhances their academic credentials (See Director of Administrative Services for Faculty Resumes). The Vice President, Deans of Schools and Director of Administrative Services evaluate the transcripts and credentials of all instructors. This includes contractual and adjunct professors. They ensure alignment with Higher Learning Commission standards, state standards, especially critical in the School of Education, and the specific standards required by individual programs.
