3. C.3. Instructors are evaluated regularly in accordance with established institutional policies and procedures.

Effective teaching is valued and supported. The yearly contracts issued for teaching faculty emphasize instruction and college governance. Faculty evaluations are conducted twice each year, and are tied to the Miller College Mission and the Strategic Plan (See The Effective Teaching Statement from Faculty Handbook, Example of a Teaching Contract, Observation of Instruction Document, Adjunct Orientation Agenda, Adjunct Handbook). Course evaluations are completed by students for all course offerings during the last two weeks of each semester and the results are used in the faculty evaluation process. Course evaluations indicate whether curriculum and instruction is relevant and meeting the needs of students.
