Full-time and percentage-time faculty members are accessible through posted office hours, the Blackboard Learning System, e-mail, and telephone. The policy manual stipulates faculty hold a minimum of 10 on-campus office hours per week (See Miller College Policy Manual). Hours are posted outside of each office and stated in each course syllabus. Further accessibility is through the Blackboard Learning System for all online and live courses, and all students are automatically assigned a Blackboard account. Through Blackboard, students can access course syllabi, send email to professors, participate in online discussion boards, monitor grades, and submit assignments electronically (See Adjunct Faculty Handbook). The College uses Outlook 2010 for in-house communication through e-mail, and faculty include their email addresses, along with staff contact information, in each course syllabus.
