All students are encouraged to take LBAR-300 Junior Seminar their first semester at Miller College. This course covers the basics of research, using the virtual library, and writing using APA style. Every course requires some sort of research project that requires the use of scholarly journals, writing using APA format, and/or an oral presentation. An Institutional Review Committee (a.k.a. as the IRB for Institutional Review Board) is in place to review any research projects undertaken by both students and staff that may have an effect on human subjects (See IRB-Policy Manual Section III Page 5).
