The HLC Comprehensive team report cited the following “Opportunities for Improvement/Challenges”.
As the college moves forward with its plans to increase revenue, control costs, and find the additional resources to support growth, the following areas may need extra consideration:
A. An Active Alumni Association
B. Retention of students
C. Assessment Data
Challenge II - Strategic Planning
A. Projected enrollment growth and diversification of the revenue base
B. A three year plan to address these issues in measurable terms
C. Clear interim measures to help gauge movement toward each goal.
D. Financial support for the attainment of the goals.
E. Time and attention given to creating a planning process
F. Long term plan for sustainability of the college to increase the asset base.
G. Individual gifts and grants
H. Endowment Fund
I. Succession plans
J. Resource acquisition to support increased student enrollment in degree programs.
A. Board of Trustees should consider inclusion of development in its vision for the future.
B. Create permanent endowments
C. Relieve the president of some responsibilities to allow time to engage in development activities.
