Miller College uses the Blackboard Learning System for all online and live courses, and all students are automatically assigned a Blackboard account.
Through Blackboard, you can:
access your course syllabi
send email to your professors
participate in online discussion boards
monitor your grades
submit your assignments electronically
To access Blackboard, it is recommended that you have the following hardware:
Operating system: Windows Vista/XP/ME/2000/98
CPU: 800Mhz processor (1 GHz or higher recommended)
Internet connection: 56K or higher dial-up minimum; DSL, cable or other high-speed connection recommended
2. On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter a username and password. Your username is your m-ID number, the same as you use to log in with WebAdvisor and your Miller College student e-mail account (ex. "m0000001").
The first time you log in to Blackboard, your password is your six-digit birth date (ex. if your birthday is January 1, 1985, your password would be 010185). You will be able to change your password once you are logged in by selecting "Personal Information" from the Tools menu and then clicking on "Change Password."
If you enroll in an online course, Student Services will send you an information packet to help you log in to your account. Be sure to also immediately contact the course instructor for important information regarding syllabi, assignments, schedules, and announcements.
For more information regarding Blackboard and online course instruction, log in to the student portal or contact Mr. Sean Kottke at (269)660-8021 ext. 2703 or via email at kottkes@millercollege.edu.
