Miller College takes a strong practitioner-based approach to teacher education. All of our faculty members are former or current classroom teachers with over a century of combined experience in elementary and secondary schools.  From the very first course you take in our program, you will be placed with talented mentors in local classrooms to learn first-hand what it takes to become an effective teacher. No teacher education program in Michigan offers more opportunities to learn in authentic classroom settings than Miller College. 

Our graduates have been recognized both in Michigan and across the country for being among the best prepared new teachers in the field, ready to take on the challenge of creating dynamic, student-centered learning environments with the latest technologies and research-based teaching methods.
