The Miller Foundation saw a need in the Battle Creek, Michigan area for a bachelor’s degree program. In concert with the Guido and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation, the Miller Foundation planned a college that would graduate students exhibiting a high level of competence in their field and demonstrating service to the community with critical thinking, polished oral and written communication skills and confident decision making. Miller College opened in 2005, a local resource that welcomes students from many levels of academic achievement and progress and prepares them to respond to the opportunities of a global society.

Miller College is totally focused on the academic needs of our students. Class sizes are small so there’s personal interaction with your instructors. Experienced advisors assist you in mapping out your degree program and support you through your studies; we are always here to help you reach your goal. Students are never another number at Miller College.

Complete your bachelor degree.

Miller College is a new and innovative approach to the often-difficult task of completing your Bachelor Degree.  Convenient class schedules help you add credit hours without unduly sacrificing work or family time.  Our knowledgeable professors, many of them employed in their areas of expertise, bring real world lessons to the classroom to enhance your education. Small class sizes and a supportive Miller College staff make it easy to stay focused on academic success. Financial Aid and benefits tailored to the needs of VA and other returning students assure that there are fewer obstacles to reaching your goal.

Roll your college credits into a BS or BAS degree.

 Programs in our School of Arts and Science emphasize the skills you need to be a vital employee and citizen, stressing oral and written communication, presentation and community stewardship in majors such as Liberal Studies with a Human Services concentration or Liberal Studies with a concentration in Law Enforcement (Kellogg Community College).  Liberal Studies with a concentration in Law Enforcement (Kalamazoo Valley Community College).

Like many students in these programs, you may have attended several other schools without earning a degree.  We’ll help you shape your assortment of previously earned credit hours and Miller College classes into a solid BS or BAS degree with an individualized educational plan that’s convenient and comprehensive. 

Learn business from contemporary leaders.

Local business and industry leaders designed the programs in our  School of Business around a comprehensive core curriculum, with rigorous courses that promote critical thinking, ethical behavior, and personal and financial accountability. Our professors have outstanding experience and are eager to share it with you in the Bachelor of Science programs that include Business Administration, Business Administration with a Health Administration concentration, Business Administration with a concentration in Aging Services Management, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management.

Study education in K-12 classrooms with experienced educators.

A team of respected local educators, administrators and university scholars designed the Elizabeth H. Binda School of Education's unique practitioner-based approach to teacher education.  Whether you aspire to become a content area specialist or work one-on-one with children with special needs, our Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree programs put you in local classrooms working with real children from day one.  You’ll be placed with talented mentors in local classrooms and taught by faculty members with extensive k-12 teaching experience, so you’ll learn firsthand what it takes to become an effective teacher.  

Turn your RN into a BSN.

Our CCNE-accredited School of Nursing RN to BSN program lays the groundwork for graduate studies.  If you are already thinking about a nursing career that includes an MSN or other advanced degree, this program provides the knowledge and experience welcomed at graduate programs at other universities.  Equally important, our RN to BSN program puts you in charge of your schedule.  We've replaced the traditional cohort system with an independent scheduling process that is far more flexible and much more accommodating of your busy life.  You can set your own pace, maximize your time and choose study partners who bring out your best in classroom management, advanced human resources, pillars of professional practice, evidence-based practice, relationship-centered care and leadership.
