Miller College Joint Admissions Plan

Miller College and Kellogg Community
College Form Joint Admissions Plan

A new joint agreement between Kellogg Community College and Robert B. Miller College will allow students an efficient and flexible plan to earn an associate’s degree from KCC and a bachelor’s degree from Miller College. The program eliminates the need to transfer credits between the two institutions eliminating the possibility of students taking courses that will not count towards their degree. The agreement was formalized by each college’s Board of Trustees during their June meetings.

The joint admissions program is available in a broad range of concentrations including business, communication, corrections, criminal justice, dental hygiene, early childhood education, EMT (advanced), graphic design, law enforcement, manufacturing, marketing, medical laboratory technician, multimedia, nursing, office information technology, photography, physical therapy, and radiography. To enter a joint program, students must first apply and be accepted to a KCC program. Students will meet with both KCC and Miller College advisors to set up a clear and decisive Educational Development Plan (EDP). The EDP will identify the courses needed and their sequence so that progress toward the appropriate degree is accomplished as seamlessly and efficiently as possible.

Students accepted into a Joint Program Plan will enjoy benefits from both institutions such as, library access, computer system access, athletics, and professional and cultural programming. The intention is that a student in a Joint Program will consider themselves a member of both academic communities. This Joint Program Plan will allow students to earn both an associate and bachelor degree for a tuition cost of less than $25,000.
