Miller College Announces Spring Institutional Scholarship Recipients

The Miller College Scholarship Committee awarded $23,500 in Institutional Scholarships to students for the 2012 spring semester.

The College awarded Unity Scholarships to Alesha Handy, Athens; Patrick Withrow, Kalamazoo; Jennifer Ellis and Michael Patzkowsky, both of Battle Creek; Karen Woods and Barbara McCalley, Marshall; and Stacy Wines of Dowling. Unity scholarships are awarded to new Miller College students with a transfer GPA of at least 2.75 and who believe inclusion and diversity in the classroom is paramount to adding value to the College, their community and society.

The College awarded one-semester Merit Scholarships to Jason Wiersma, Augusta; Ashley Rosa, Danielle Pardee, Adam Gochenour and Jurnis Allen, all from Battle Creek; and Jessica Canfield of Homer.  The Merit scholarship is awarded to existing Miller College students who have completed at least six credits at the College in a previous semester and have maintained a 3.5 GPA. Funding for the scholarships was made possible by a grant from the Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation.

Miller College is a private institution located in Battle Creek on Kellogg Community College’s north side campus.   The College is an accredited institution recognized for its affordability and attention to students.
